Job Description: Northwest ISD will be opening a third high school in 2015.  Eaton High school will compete in varsity level competition in individual sports only in 2015, but will compete in full varsity competition in 2016.  With demographer projections of growth, Eaton could enter varsity competition as a 6A high school.  The school will open with 9th and 10th graders, and add grades each subsequent year.

1.     Assist the Director of Athletics and Physical Education in making the assignments for assistant coaches.

2.     Supervise all assistant coaches assigned to the head coach.

3.     Make necessary scouting assignments when scouting is allowed for the sport to which you are assigned.

4.   Plan, organize, and direct clinics, workshops, and in-service training for coaches in the district so that all may work cooperatively and effectively in implementing the approved program.

5.   In consultation with the Director of Athletics and Physical Education submit a schedule of games or contests for approval.

6.   Select officials for games and submit the list of those selected to the Director of Athletics and Physical Education.

7.   Adhere to all policies regarding physical examinations, eligibility lists, parental permission forms, insurance, etc., before allowing a student to participate in a school sponsored athletic event.

8.   Submit a list of all players who participated in the sport for which you are responsible to the Director of Athletics and Physical Education.

9.   Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the Principal, Director of Athletics and Physical Education, or the Head coach of the sport to which the assistant is assigned.

The Aggie Swim Camp at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas

The Aggie Swim Camp at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas has opportunities available for coaches from high school and club teams who are excited about the opportunity to learn and work with younger kids and an excellent staff for two or more weeks May 31-July 1.  The Camp is a very successful operation with over 600 campers over five one-week sessions.  In addition to assisting with camp as an assistant coach and camp counselor, you will also have the opportunity to spend time with successful collegiate coaches Jay Holmes, Steve Bultman, Ryan Mallum and Tanica Jamison .  Free meals and housing are included, as well as a stipend each week based on experience.  Applicants must be 21 years or older, have attended at least two years of college and have experience as a competitive swimmer and/or coach.  Current First Aid, CPR, and/or Lifeguard/Safety Training for Swim Coaches are helpful.  All staff must be willing to work in an alcohol/drug free environment.  With our emphasis on stroke, start, and turn technique, this camp can make a great coaching clinic for any coach.  To apply for this great learning opportunity, please send your resume and a list of three or more references to Shannon Clark, Camp Director at aggieswimcamp@gmail.com .

Texas Terrapins Swim Team - Head Age Group Coach, Cypress, TX

 Texas Terrapins Swim Team is a coach directed, parent supported, that is seeking an enthusiastic and organized age group coach with to coach 2 groups - 1 group  of 7-9 year olds, and one group of  9 - 11 year old swimmers. This coach will report directly to the head coach, and also have an assistant coach to work with.  TTST is located in Cypress Texas and operates out of 2 pools - 1 indoor 8 lane plus 5 lane facility for the age group team, and 1 outdoor 6 lane pool for the senior level swimmers, and a 50 meter 8 lane pool during long course season.  TTST is celebrating its 10th season in existence and has made great strides not only in growth and performance at all levels, but most importantly, developing high character in young swimmers.

Compensation: is competitive and commensurate within the Gulf LSC along with experience, history/track record. Includes paid 3 week vacation, paid time off, and meet compensation. The coach will have a full membership to ASCA, and subscription to Go Swim TV.
Professional (certification) costs and continuing education are covered by the club.
