Head Swimming / Diving Coach – Angleton High School

Looking for a qualified head coach to take over as early as February 9th, 2015 or as late as the date applicant chosen can begin working. Must be certified in an accredited teaching field. Teaching field is OPEN and will accept any teaching field, as to get a high level coach in place. Will have an assistant coach to work with you and will have final say-so in hiring of assistant coach, if wanted. Will have two separate swimming / athletic periods, conference period, and four classes. Must be CDL bus driver certified, or at least, willing to become certified in a timely manner. AISD is in the final planning stages of building a new, state of the art Natatorium next to AHS and Wildcat Football Stadium. AISD pays outstanding to teachers (see AISD salary schedule on angletonisd.net) and has very competitive coaching stipends. Pays 15 extra days paid ($2,500.00), and also includes head swimming stipend ($5,000.00 … or more, depending on if hiring asst. coach or not), and head water polo stipend ($2,500.00 – 5,000.00).

ENTHUSIASTIC INSTRUCTOR / COACH NEEDED ASAP!

Irving Aquatic Club, a year-round all ages competitive swimming program is seeking a qualified and eager part-time assistant coach to serve a multitude of roles within the organization. The ideal candidate will posses the following attributes:

·         Enthusiasm for working with children and adults in an aquatic teaching enviroment

·         Experience in swimming, coaching, or teaching swimming lessons prefered

·         Dependable, consistant, and energized attitude on a daily basis (come to work...to work!)

·         Willingness to learn, be trained, and seek swimming knowledge relentlessly

·         Immediate availability

·         Ability to pass USA Swimming’s Background Check and SafeSport Inititives

·         Possess or can obtain certification in Lifeguard Training (to satisfy USA Swimming requirements)

The position is part-time (less than 20 hours per week) and primary coaching hours are in the afternoon / evenings with some weekend obligations for swim meets and team functions. AQUATICS SUPERVISOR

 

The City of Edinburg is currently accepting applications for Aquatics Supervisor. This position provides citizens with a safe and educational environment for aquatic activities.  This is accomplished by managing day-to-day operations of aquatic facilities and staff. 

Requires a two-year Associate's degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school.  Certifications required: American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor, American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor Trainer, American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer, and National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator. Requires three (3) years up to and including five (5) years’ experience in pool management. Salary is $38,112 per year.

  Aggie Swim Club – Senior Group Assistant Coach 

The Aggie Swim Club is currently accepting applications for a part time assistant coach for our senior group. The Aggie Swim Club is a year round 501 (c) 3 non-profit USA Swimming program located in College Station, Texas and trains at Texas A&M University in an 8 lane 50 m x 20 lane 25 yard indoor state of the art newly renovated pool.  The Club currently has over 200 competitive swimmers with approximately 50 at the senior level.

Responsibilities: 1.  Assistant coach on deck for our senior group ranging in age from 14-22; 2.  Assist in coordinating season, weekly and daily work out plans working closely with the head coach;  3. Communicate with parents of senior level swimmers on group issues; 4.  Oversee weight and dryland training programs for our senior age group;  5.  Share your passion and knowledge for swimming and help our swimmers become the best they can be both in and out of the pool.

Qualifications: 1.  Candidates should have 2 or more years of competitive swim coaching experience;  2.  Candidate should have current certifications in CPR, First Aid, Swim Coaches Safety Training, and have current USA Swimming coaches registration in good standing;  3.  Candidates should have a strong work ethic and ability to solve problems while working independently.

Schedule: Typical practice time commitment is Tuesday and Friday from 6:00am-7:30am, Monday-Friday from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Saturdays from 11:00am-2:00pm.

 

Typical meet time commitment is one weekend per month.

Compensation and Benefits: This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience as well as meet compensation.  Opportunities for additional income via swim camp are also available.

Viper Pigeon WPC Water Polo, Houston, TX

Viper Pigeon WPC is looking for interested, experienced age group water polo coaches for 10&U, 12&U, 14&U, 16&U, 18&U teams. We have pools located throughout the Houston area and our looking for coaches that want to take ownership of any of our locations throughout the city. Viper Pigeon WPC is one of the largest clubs in the United States and wants to continue to grow water polo throughout the city. We need the help of experienced coaches to make this happen.

Qualifications:
• USA Water Polo Coach certified.
• Ability to teach and coach multiple age group teams.
• Positive communication skills.
• Knowledge of FINA water polo rules.
• Knowledge of how to lead players to enjoyably boost their desire and ability.
• Professional communication skills with both parents and players.
• Previous coaching experience preferred. 
• Competitive water polo experience preferred.
