The Fort Worth Area Swim Team, Fort Worth, TXThe Fort Worth Area Swim Team, is a progressive competitive swimming program located in Fort Worth, Texas. FAST is currently USA Swimming Silver Medal Swim Club and former Gold Medal Swim Club and home to approximately 150-200 competitive age group swimmers, and a number of current USA Swimming National & Olympic Trial qualifiers with a rich history of producing elite national and international level athletes including placing swimmers at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games, the only USA Swimming team in Texas to do so . The team trains out of multiple locations in and around the Fort Worth area including the newly renovated Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center. FAST is led by Head Coach Ron Forrest who has been with the program for 16+ years. Position: We are looking to hire a Head Age Group Coach that would lead a full age group competitive program and work within the FAST Coaching Philosophy. Job Description: Essential Job Tasks include: 1) Maintain and be a certified Coach member of USA Swimming including full certification in CPR, First Aid and Safety Training for Swim Coaches, as well as pre-screen completion and passing of the a USA Swimming Background Check and agree to abide by the USA Swimming Code of Conduct, and FAST policies and procedures. 2) Plan, prepare, and conduct team practices in accordance with the FAST curriculum and performance goals of program. 3) Develop and oversee all assistant coaches and performance development of lower age groups. Compensation: Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience. Preferred qualifications include: The successful candidate will be a team player with 5+ years of coaching experience. All candidates should possess ASCA Level 2 or above, current USA Swimming coach certifications in good standing, and a Bachelor's Degree, as well as be able to pass appropriate background checks. A preferred candidate shall possess ASCA Level 3 or above. Candidates should have experience that illustrates exceptional management skills, communication and motivation skills, team building and community involvement, and should be able to provide relevant examples of teaching quality technique as well as have a record of producing well-rounded swimmers. The Sea Dragons Swim Team, Assistant Swim Team Coach, The Colony, TXThe Sea Dragons Swim Team is a new year-round USA Swimming team in the North Dallas suburb of The Colony. It is coach owned and expected to start with 60-80 swimmers.Practices will begin June 6 and run 7-9am Monday through Fridays until August 19. During the school year, practice times switch to 5-7:30pm. Must also be available on weekends for swim meets.This assistant coach will be responsible for working directly with the novice or age group levels (depending on preference); and working with the head coach to develop workout plans, track swimmer progress, process meet entries, and communicate to parents.May also assist with administrative duties such as new swimmer registration, racing start certifications, volunteer recruitment/tracking and marketing. Expected to lead at least 1 parent education activity and assist with tryouts and team social events each quarter.Must already possess current lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications OR be able to obtain them prior to June 6, 2011. At least 1 year of coaching or swim instructor experience preferred. Well-organized, strong communicator, professional demeanor and able to take charge and follow through on projects.
